Shahid Kapoor has waived aside his fees for his friend and producer Ahmed Khan's Paathshala.
Close connection
Shahid plays an English and music teacher who comes into the lives of a group of young, troubled students. Says a source close to Shahid, "Shahid is fond of Ahmed so when Ahmed approached him, Shahid decided to do it for free as it is his first film. Ahmed and Shahid have grown up together and Khan had choreographed Shahid's first musical video."
